Access Control
Access Control Bath
We install, repair and service all types of Access Control (Door Entry) systems:-
Audible (Telephone entry) systems
Telephone entry systems comprise of an external push button panel ranging from one to usually around ten call buttons with an integral speech unit. Internally there is a telephone type handset (usually wall mounted) which occupants use to speak to callers to ascertain who they are prior to remotely unlocking the door to allow entry.
Video entry
Video entry systems are similar but have a camera at the door and a screen internally so that visual recognition is available as well as audible.
Digital keypad (Code number)
Digital keypads allows users externally to enter a four or six digit pre determined code number which if correct will unlock the door.
Proximity Fob or card
Proximity Fob systems utilise a key fob which is encoded and unique to the user. When offered up to an external reader, the control unit will decide whether the user is authorised or not for that time and day to gain entry. The operation is usually recorded into a log for a short period.
Card Swipe
Swipe card readers operate in a similar fashion, but a 'credit card' type pass is ‘swiped’ through a slot which interrogates the card to validate authorisation.
Fingerprint
Fingerprint Switching Systems reduce cost when more than 20 users are required, due to the fact that fobs and cards are no longer required for all the users. The average price per fob / card is £4.50, so when 20 users require a fob / card, the cost will be £90 plus on top of the equipment. Obviously the more users, the bigger the saving. Not only at the installation stage, but when users lose their fobs / cards, replacement charges will mount as well as the security risk of unauthorised persons 'aquiring' the 'lost' items.
