Fire Alarms Bath

BSA Bath install, service and repair fire alarm systems for clients in and around Bath. We offer both wired and wireless fire alarms to BS5839-1:2002 and BS5839-6:2004.

Fire alarm systems should be serviced at six monthly intervals. This is a BS requirement, and therefore a requirement of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (see Fire Risk Assessment) Sounder levels should be 75dB at each bed-head with the door closed to be compliant with BS.

As specialists suppliers of fire alarms in Bath, BSA can provide the six monthly servicing requirements by fully testing each detector, sounder and all control equipment, to ensure that the fire alarm system is in good working condition.

We can ensure that your fire alarm system is maintained and that you are covered with our 24 hour emergency call out facility. If you are based within Bath our on-site engineer is guaranteed to be with you within 1/2 hour of your call (6PM-8AM).

Fire alarms and emergency lighting should be checked weekly by the responsible person.

For fire alarm systems this involves activating one of the call points to ensure that it works, along with noting the sounders, and ensuring that the control panel indicates and resets correctly.

A different call point should be tested each week.

A log of tests should be kept with time, date, which point was tested, result, any fault found, and name of the tester.

Emergency lights should be observed to ensure that the charging LED is illuminated, and that they are not damaged. Once a month the mains should be removed to ensure that each light operates on its batteries.
